St Patrick's Day

Happy St Patrick's Day. Hannah made fun projects at preschool, Jonah had a potato bar at school and brought green butter that Grandma Flint made, and Noah......didn't do anything. Growing older sucks. They didn't have any kind of celebration in the 5th grade. I remember back in the day (like forever ago!) that we could dress up for Halloween in elementary, but when we got to Jr High, they said we were too old! BUT even better then that, when I got to High School we could dress up again! What is the deal with that and why do you ask am I talking about Halloween on St Patrick's Day??? I don't know so I will get back to the right holiday: The Leprechaun once again brought chocolate coins and a special gold dollar for each kid. This tradition started a couple of years ago when we were living with Ron's family while our house was being built. Sometimes (usually) I forget all about this tradition. Luckily the Leprechaun always magically leaves a treat for the kids in their room (thanks to the Leprechaun helpers....you know who you are!). Jonah is making sure his gold coin is real! This is also the day of Grandma Luwana's B-day. Happy B-day!!!!! See you this weekend and maybe we will bring you a special gold dollar!

Seussical the Musical

A couple of week ago, my nephew was in a Jr high play. They did Seussical The Musical and it was really good! Especially for Jr High kids!!! The musical is about a bunch of different Dr Seuss stories mixed all together. Richie played a monkey......or something. His friend was The Cat In The Hat. Richie and his friends are very creative. They make videos and movies and put them on youtube under 7feetshows. Check it out! They did a video to the Shake It song and the actual band put it on their website as one of the best fan videos. Anyway, we enjoyed the show. Hannah was crazy with her applause and I was thinking YES! I will have someone to take to plays and musicals when she is older, since Ron could care less about those kinds of things. So I asked her if she would like to see more stuff like this when she is older and she said "only if Richie is in them". So Richie now you have to make this your career. :)

Richie and his girlfriend...Jessica I think.....?

Disney On Ice

Mom bought us tickets to Disney On Ice again this year. They had scenes from The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, The Lion King and Lilo and Stitch. Ron's family was also there and Sally bought the kids a $10 snow cone in a cup (after Jonah begged for a souvenir, Thanks Sally!!) We also walked over to the Gateway for lunch. MADHOUSE! They were having the St Patrick's Day Parade and there were a ton of people.

Jen's 40th Birthday Party

Last night we had a surprise 40th Birthday Party for my sister Jen. She was actually surprised, but had been a little suspicious for the last couple of days. Rich invited family and friends from her past, work, ward and neighborhood. We had a musical theme. Jen has in the past played the piano and violin and is new to the Mandolin. Rich played the guitar and sang her a song, Richie did also and Haley played her a song on the piano. Jen is my best friend. She is the best sister, friend, advisor, part time mom, doctor, babysitter...etc. Everyone loves her. She gives a LOT of her time helping others like doing a fund raiser for a sick kid in her ward and one for a sick cousin. For the last couple of years she has been an instructor for RAD KIDS teaching kids self defense, helping kids with volunteer work on "make a difference day" and very involved in PTA. And if you ask her to make you a Wedding or Birthday cake she will probably say yes! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jen! You are the best! I Love You!!!!!
