So......yes.... we took the "FUN BUS" to Wendover a couple of weeks ago with our friends. It was Noreen's birthday and this is something she wanted to do since she had never been to Wendover before. We had lots of FUN on the FUN BUS except for the fact that we (me - sweaty Betty - especially) were a big melty hot mess by the time the 3 hour ride was over because the friggen HEATER was on the WHOLE time! For some reason the bus driver didn't know how to turn it off......or something..... Anyway. We played games on the way and guess who won???? ME!!! Good Guess! I NEVER win anything! Ron and I have the worse luck, but I won the first BINGO game and won me a whole $2! Then there was a ticket raffle for $1 a ticket and I won that! $38!!! I was on fire! Included with our $15 bus ride was the dinner buffet at the Nugget, a drink at the bar, a drink at Starbucks and $5 back to play with. So we ate the Buffet...Seafood night....my favorite......um.... the ice cream was good (right Shauna?), we got our drinks at the bar - Shirley Temple for me, I think most everyone else had coke or something and we all got a non-coffee Starbucks drinks (some Strawberry smoothie thing, it was good!!!) and I turned my $5 into $15 on the penny slots within the first 20 minutes or so. We had fun and the night flew by, pretty soon it was 2am and time to get back on the bus. Oh don't worry, the heater STILL WASN'T FIXED!!!! UGH so we got to melt for another 3 hours back home. Even better then that though was the bus
driver that kept swerving off the road and Noreen yelling
HEY Wakeup!!!! from the back of the bus. Ron and I came home $20 ahead, we just played the money I had won on the bus and that was it. None of us are real big gamblers....well except the poker queen - you know who you are (Noreen!) IJK. We got home at like 5am or something. Some of us had to go to work and some of us had Dance Recital practice, but I think we all had naps later that day!

I received a belated Mothers Day Breakfast in Bed a week after Mothers Day from the kids. Jonah realized on Mothers Day (after I was already out of bed) that he should have made me breakfast. He made up for it that morning with all the breakfast essentials a 9 year old can come up with: 2 Eggo waffles, 1 Krispe Kreme donut (purchased the day before), a glass of milk and a soft pretzel with a salt packet in case I liked it that way. It was a carb lovers dream.
