Hannah's Obsession

The latest addition to Hannah's room thanks to a Birthday present from Zac. Thanks Noreen!!!

She came up with this one all on her own. This is her pillow and she replaced Gabriella with herself. How could I not take a picture??? Is it normal for a 5 year old to think someone is "dreamy"? I had posters of Menudo, Rick Springfield, Duran Duran and Michael Jackson on my walls when I was little, but I think I was at least 10. I need to keep an eye on her, she is starting early.

Christmas Traditions

New jammies on Christmas Eve. Star Wars for the boys. High School Musical for Hannah.

Sitting on Santa's Lap

West Haven Lights. Have you seen this? This guy has decorated his house and now his neighbor's also with zillions of lights that go off with music. There is a radio station that you listen to as you watch. My favorite: Blue Christmas by Elvis. Only the blue lights go on when that part is sung in the song. Awesome! My pictures on the other hand, not so awesome....

Milk and cookies (and white chocolate covered pretzels - Santa's favorite) left for Santa.

December Re-cap

Ugh.....December. I love this time of the year, but I wish I had the time to enjoy it. We have been finishing a room in the basement for the boys and its amazing what a mess one room construction makes in the rest of the house! Also with working full time, a husband that works an opposite shift full time, 2 out of 3 children born in this month therefore we had 2 birthday parties, numorous Family and Friend parties, Shopping trips, Last minute shopping Trips, Dance classes and Recitals, My Dad's birthday oh and did I mention Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? I have had no time to relax. I was sooooooo tired on Christmas Eve....someone almost forgot to pay a visit to our house...(if you know what I mean). So here are the things that have been happening since I last blogged.

December 15th - Hannah's dance recital at Clearfield High. Here she is with Grandma Wanna before the show.

Dancing on the stage.
With her friend Mckenna.

December 16 - Noah's 11th Birthday Party. 11 crazy boys in my house. AAAAHHHHH. We were supposed to take them to Krispe Kreme but the weather was bad that night so Ron bought donuts (and hats) and we had the party at home. We ran out of things to do so they sang Christmas carols to the neighbors and played Nerf gun games in the snow. Coats optional. I hope no one went home sick!

December 19 -Friend Christmas Party. We try to get together with our friends from our old neighborhood every Christmas. We miss them and it's amazing how fast their kids are growing. The kids played games and made gingerbread houses and we exchanged white elephants. This is the hit of the party. I won't show those pictures though, the gifts get naughtier every year!!!

December 20 AM - Hannah's #5 Birthday Party. Oh my baby is no longer a baby. She loves her some Troy from High School Musical so this was the theme for her party. We colored microphones, then the kids sang and danced to HSM songs. We played Troy, Troy, Gabriella - our version of Duck, Duck, Goose, and had a HSM pinata.

Don't they looked thrilled to be singing and dancing? Zac and Mckenna didn't want to join in the fun.

December 20 PM - Grange kids party - same day as Hannah's B-day party. We have 2 Grange parties every year. One for the kids with Santa and one for just the adults. There we also exchange white elephants and they are pretty funny too. I didn't take any pictures this year at that party.

Christmas Eve we go to my mom's. I forgot the camera!!! This is opening presents on Christmas morning. After we got done at our house we went to the Flints, then on to my dad and step-moms. I am lucky to have family so close. The kids had a great Christmas! Spoiled!

Ron's new stereo.

I had more pictures on this, but as I try to add text, some of the photos get deleated and I don't know how to add them back where they go. UGH! So now I am really tired, a little annoyed and need to go clean the dishes. Goodnight!!!

Thanksgiving 2008

I am a bit behind but here are the pictures from our Thanksgiving. We rotate families every year and this year we went to my moms. Tyson and Matt came down from Montana.

Twilight Review....Finally!

Twilight...Finally! I was so excited to post about Twilight when I first saw it..... and then saw it again.....and then again and ..... again. Yep that's right 4 times so far. 4 times in 5 days I might add and 2 of them were on the same day! Insane? Maybe....Obsessed? Definitely! But now that its been a while and I have been too busy to post about it, I have lost some of my umpff (Spell check that one!) and have kept putting it off. I want to see it again to refresh my memory, but gee Ron doesn't want to go with me. I wonder why? Let me start off with the events leading up to the viewing. I convinced my friend Brandi at work to read the books a while ago. She was not thrilled, but took book 1 home on a Friday to humor me. By Saturday afternoon she was calling me to borrow the rest of them. So we have been hooked from the beginning. We spent our days at work looking up whatever info we could get about the movie. Like most of you we were not thrilled about their Edward choice, but he grew on us and now we love him!
Brandi and I didn't go see the movie until Nov 24th. Can you believe I resisted seeing it all weekend? We left work early and found this in the parking lot:

I am SOOOOO clueless. My friends Noreen and Shauna were asking me about work and where I park. I gave them the information and didn't even put 2 and 2 together when I saw this. I thought people at work had done it. I got in trouble for that one. Sorry Noreen! We tried to drive to the theater with these on but the wind ripped them off so we had to pull over and take the rest off. Oops

This is Brandi and I. Like the pose? It's the "Uncle Rico" from Napoleon Dynamite. We use it a lot.
tiny seahorses......

Brandi and I got matching "TEAM EDWARD" shirts, but you can't see them in this picture. They say: Team Edward. Sexier then you since 1918.
Nice!

Playing Twilight trivia waiting for the movie to start. Did you do that too?

Later that same night I went to the movie again with my friends Noreen, Shauna, Holly, Angie, Tiffany and some other girls they knew.

So here is my review. The first time, I hate to say it, I didn't love it. UGH. If you have only seen it once, go see it again! I knew it would be different then the book but my mind kept comparing the 2. I haven't read any other books made into movies before. I usually just see the movie. So it was hard for me to just sit and enjoy. I knew what scenes were coming up next in the book and my mind would compare what I knew to what was happening on screen. Some of the things that bugged me the first time also were Bellas stuttering and sometimes monotone dialoque, Jasper's weirdness, Edward looking like he wants to puke when he smells her for the first time and what was the deal with glitter boy? I was expecting much more there. So I left not totally hating it, but thinking they could have done better. The second time I saw it - Totally different story. I LOVED IT! All those things didn't bug me anymore and I was able to enjoy it as a movie without comparing it to the book. Charlie was funny, I loved the baseball scene, the kitchen scene when they are making Bella dinner. I didn't get how funny that was the first time. I love when he knows that she knows what he is and he follows her into the woods. Okay yes, I am a total dork. I think about this stuff WAY to much I know. I sometimes forget I am a 36 year old happily married mother of 3 and not a 15 year old teenage girl. I have resisted buying an Edward poster. I don't think Ron would approve if I hung it up in our bedroom. I could hang it up in my new scrapbook room though.............hum... . I am not the only one though. Some Women my age are WAY more obsessed. Check this out: http://www.twilightmoms.com/ . Stephenie Meyer is only 1 year younger then me and she actually created this thing we are all obessessed with so I don't feel so bad. I can admit it - I am 36 and I am a Twilight Fan and I am proud of it! Like I really had to tell any of you that.
So in conclusion: I don't know if you would really get what is going on, if you hadn't read the book. Do they get that Edward wants to eat Bella because she smells so good, not that he wants to puke because he thinks she stinks? I don't think anyone knew how BIG the hype was going to be when they first started filming it. Now they know and I hope the make NEW MOON better. I still want to see more Twilight, 4 times just isn't enough and its been over a week, I am having withdrawls. Who wants to go with me? Shauna? Brandi? Ron thinks I am insane. Oh well. He is stuck with me. So was that really a conclusion? I say its a 9 out of 10. Not perfect but worth the money and again if you have only seen it once, go again. It gets better and better.
Now how soon until New Moon is out?????

Carrie Underwood Concert

On November 19 I went to the Carrie concert with my friends. I love Carrie! I am not a watcher of the American Idol, I HATE to see anyone get embarrassed or make a fool of themselves, so I didn't become a fan until she put out her first album. It was really good! She did a great job. My camera on the other hand was not so great. I took a ton of pictures but none of them were very good. We were too far away.

Can you see her?

Carrie with Little Big Town. I only know one song they sang, something about fishing poles and crawfish holes. A bit Hick, but catchy!!!

Shauna, Holly, Me and some guy with his Beer.

Angie, Jen, um....someone that someone knew and I wasn't going to forget her name, but I did anyway, Tiff and Melissa.

Cousin Shauna and Noreen. There were too many of us that wanted to go and not enough seats together so these guys were 2 rows back.

Coming Soon:

My Twilight Review.......

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

One of my favorite things:

This is by far the best lip gloss ever! Why am I blogging about lip gloss? I don't know, I guess there is nothing else going on that is any more exciting. I have convinced my friends to try it and they love it. Even better it's on sale right now at Bath and Body Works, buy 2 get 1 free!!! Can you say stocking stuffers?? Here is what the label says:

"Our mint-infused lip balm imparts a sheer hint of color and glossy high shine with a refreshing, cooling sensation. Lips stay moist and protected while Peppermint Oil gives breath long-lasting freshness."

It tastes yummy too! Check it out.

Halloween 2008

We had our annual family Halloween party this year at Dad and Lu's. It's crazy how big all my nieces and nephews are getting!!! This year H went as Mulan. The white makeup was a bit much, but oh well. N was a mad scientist - can you see the white paint in his hair? And J was once again a Star Wars character, some sort of trooper. We went trick or treating around their house then went off to Plain City for the full size candy bars!!!!!! Ron had to go to work as usual so we hung out with my sister Jen.

Cool Haunted Houses we found while Trick or Treating!

Some people go ALL out!

Preschool Halloween Party

H was Hannah Montana for her Preschool Party. I didn't want her Mulan costume to get ruined since I wasn't there to supervise so we went to Walmart the day before and found this costume. It was cheap, but then I had to get the microphone and Hannah Montana boots (which doubled the cheap costume price). At least I didn't have to buy a wig!!!
