Scrapbooking, Les Mis and Conference

This is for Holly. Only 29 days until our Scrapbook Getaway! I am excited!!! I have lots to do and its so nice to get away to do it! No kids, No Work, No husbands, Fun Friends, Food, Possible Shopping and scrapping! This will be us again, but actually getting something done and sadly without Lisa Bearnson. :(

This weekend I going to St George to see Les Miserables at Tuacahn with my mom, sister and sister in law. I am so excited! This will be my fourth time seeing Les Mis. I saw it twice in New York when I was a nanny and then took my mom a couple of years ago to see it in Salt Lake. I love it! Jen and Stef have not seen it so I am glad we get to share it with them. I am sure I will take lots of pictures and post about it next week. I have to do these kinds of "cultural" things with the girls since Ron could care less. I took him to Phantom of the Opera a couple years ago and I think he was bored to death. When I told him about this he said he would be "Less Miserable" if he didn't have to go. Smart A! Honey, I still love you even though you would much rather be somewhere else then with me at a musical!

I really enjoyed General Conference this past weekend (and a day off from church! - I know you are all thinking the same thing!!!) I missed the first sessions both Saturday and Sunday ( I'm not gonna lie - I slept in!!) but watched the second sessions on each day. I really listened and enjoyed the talks and cried at the stories that were told. I tried to look for my friends daughter in the crowd when the primary choir sang, but I never saw her. Sorry Kalee, did you see her? Anyway it was nice to feel spiritual again since I have been feeling so negative lately. I watched the programs after also until the news came on and then the great feelings pretty much left while I was listening to the horrible news of the day and of the crappy world we live in. I am scared for my kids growing up in all this. We thought it was a bad world when we were little and it just gets worse and worse. I need to be a better mom and encourage my kids to do more prayers and scripture reading, etc. I need to work on that. I love to hear Hannah sing the primary songs. It makes me happy.
One more thing. Noah is in 5th grade and had "Maturation" yesterday. Ugh, if that doesn't make you feel old as a mother, I don't know what does. Ron went with him and I guess it went over well. Noah is all about getting some deodorant now. They also said something about soon they will start growing hair and look like Chewbaca. Nice!!! I don't think Noah will have that problem for a long time.
